The Mexican comic Pepín, which printed its first edition on March 4, 1936 as a weekly anthology of comics to eventually become a daily, ran until October 23, 1956 with a total of 7,561 issues.
At its height of popularity, sales were estimated at 320,000 copies a day, doubling that number on Sundays.
