Kepler-90 (also known as 2MASS J18574403+4918185) is a star with 8 confirmed planets- the same number as our sun- and is the star with the most known planets in another solar system. It is located 2,840 light years from Earth, and the planetary system was discovered by NASA's Kepler mission. The Kepler-90 planets are notable because they all occur at or within 1 AU of the host star (ie, the distance between Earth and the sun).
