Largest CD music edition

Philips have compiled the biggest ever single recorded edition with Great Pianists of the 20th Century which consists of 200 CDs. Released over a period of 12 months from September 1998, the edition features 74 pianists. The largest project ever undertaken by a recording company, it marks the first time that all major recording companies have participated in a project developed by one of their competitors.The youngest pianist represented is Evgeny Kissin (b. 10 Oct 1971) and the oldest is Ignaz Paderewski (1860 - 1941)
