The most Winter Olympic speed skating medals won by a woman is 13, by Ireen Wüst (Netherlands) between 2006 and 2022. This is also the outright record. Her tally comprised six gold medals, five silvers and two bronze.


At Beijing 2022, Wüst won bronze in the team pursuit and gold in the 1,500 m – making her the first athlete to win individual gold medals at five different Olympic Games. She was also the most-decorated athlete at Sochi 2014, claiming five medals. Her medal breakdown is:
