The most money raised by camping (individual) is £700,000 ($840,800 / €788,690), and was achieved by Max Woosey (UK) from 28 March 2020 to 1 March 2023.

Max (12) began spending the night in a tent in his family home garden at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic to raise money for North Devon hospice after they cared for his neighbour during his final days. The tent was given to Max by the neighbour, who told him to 'have an adventure'.

He planned on camping out until the first nationwide lockdown ended - and had originally hoped to raise around £100 – but eventually spent three years sleeping in a tent each night. His efforts captured the attention of people all across the world and as a result he was able to raise a record-breaking sum to be donated towards supporting the hospice.
