The most finishes of the Barkley Marathons is 3, achieved by Jared Campbell (USA), as of 2022.

First established in 1986, The Barkley Marathons is an ultramarathon trail race held annually in Frozen Head State Park in Morgan County, Tennessee, USA.

For a "finish" to be counted, the 100 mile course must be completed within 60 hours of the start signal (the blowing of a conch followed by the race director lighting a cigarette).

In addition to running, challengers must also find books along the course and remove pages relating to their race number.

As of the 2022 event, the race has only been completed 18 times, by 15 different individuals. Brett Maune and Jared Campbell are the only two to complete it twice, with Campbell clinching his record-breaking third in 2016.
