Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid (both UK) won 10 consecutive Grand Slam doubles titles together in 2019–22. The run started at the 2019 US Open and continued with all three majors in 2020 (Wimbledon 2020 was cancelled owing to the coronavirus pandemic), all four majors in 2021 and the Australian Open and French Open in 2022. Their winning streak was halted at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships, where they lost 6–3, 6–1 to Gustavo Fernández and Shingo Kunieda – the pairing they beat in two close tie-breaks to secure their 10th consecutive title at Roland Garros on 5 June 2022.
As of 10 July 2022, Hewett (15) and Reid (19) had collected 34 Grand Slam doubles titles between them; all 15 of Hewett’s wins have come with Reid since 2016, while Reid has won four titles with Shingo Kunieda and Stéphane Houdet (both 2015), Kunieda again in 2016, and Joachim Gérard in 2017.
Retired Dutch ace Esther Vergeer won 12 consecutive doubles titles in 2005–09, but with three different partners. In 2010–12, she teamed up with Sharon Walraven and won seven Grand Slams doubles titles in a row.
In quad doubles, the American pairing of Nick Taylor and David Wagner won six successive titles at the US and Australian Opens between 2007 and 2010 – the two Grand Slams that had a quad competition at the time.
