The most tacos served in one hour is 13,215, and was achieved by La Discada, Gobierno de Guadalupe, and Instituto Hermann Hesse (all Mexico) in Nuevo León, Mexico, on 21 June 2025.
Participants, sponsors, and attendees were excited to be part of a world record involving their favorite regional dish. The atmosphere was full of anticipation, and everyone was eager to taste the food.
A sponsor provided tortillas measuring 10 cm in diameter. Tacos were prepared and served in plates of five, with a total of 13,215 tacos counted and verified by two witnesses and myself.
Remaining food was distributed among event attendees and donated to local orphanages and foundations.
