Eminem (USA, b. Marshall Mathers III) is the biggest-selling rap artist in the USA by albums sold, with 61.5 million units certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In a list headed by The Beatles (183 million units), Garth Brooks (157 million) and Elvis Presley (146.5 million), Eminem is streets ahead of fellow rappers 2Pac (36.5 million), Jay-Z (27.5 million), Drake (25.5 million) and Kanye West/Ye (25.5 million).


Eminem’s biggest-selling albums in the USA are The Eminem Show (2002; 12x multi-platinum) and The Marshall Mathers LP (2000; 11x multi-platinum). On 8 March 2022, the RIAA confirmed that Eminem was the biggest-selling digital singles artist in the USA, with 166 million certified units. After 73.5 million new singles and albums certifications were added on that date, Eminem’s career total increased to 227.5 million certified units (166 million singles, 61.5 million albums).
