Between 2000 and 2020, Eminem (USA, b. Marshall Mathers III) topped the UK’s Official Singles Chart 10 times, with “The Real Slim Shady” (2000); “Stan” (2000); “Without Me” (2002); “Lose Yourself” (2002); “Just Lose It” (2004); “Like Toy Soldiers” (2005); “Smack That” (Akon feat. Eminem, 2006); “The Monster” (feat. Rihanna, 2013); “River” (feat. Ed Sheeran, 2017); and “Godzilla” (feat. Juice WRLD, 2020). Interestingly, the Missouri-born rapper’s 10 chart-toppers all spent just one week at No.1 in the UK.
Elvis Presley (21), The Beatles (17), Cliff Richard (14), Westlife (14), Madonna (13), Ed Sheeran (13) and Take That (12) had more UK No.1 singles than Eminem, as of 30 June 2022, while Calvin Harris and Elton John had tallied the same number as “Slim Shady” – 10. Eminem has also achieved the same number of UK No.1 albums, also between 2000 and 2020.
