The youngest person to climb Everest and Lhotse is Nima Rinji Sherpa (Nepal, b 18 April 2006), who climbed Everest and made the crossing via the South Col (camp IV) to the top of Lhotse on 24 May 2023, completing the traverse at the age of 17 years 36 days.
This ascent means that, as of May 2023, Nima Rinji is also the youngest person to reach the top of Lhotse. The climb was made as part of his project #SherpaPower, which he began on 30 September 2022 aged 16 years 135 days with an ascent of Manaslu.
