Elvis Aaron Presley (USA, 1935–77), the “King of Rock and Roll”, has scored 76 Top 10 entries on the UK Official Singles Chart, from “Heartbreak Hotel” on 31 May 1956 to a re-issue of “Way Down” on 30 April 2005.

Cliff Richard (68 Top 10s, from “Move It” on 16 October 1958 to “Thank You for a Lifetime” on 20 September 2008) and Madonna (64 Top 10s, from “Holiday” on 11 February 1984 to “Popular” on 8 February 2024) were second and third, as of 25 September 2025, with "contemporary" hit-makers such as Drake (47), Ed Sheeran (43), Eminem (34), Calvin Harris (31), Rihanna (31), Taylor Swift (30), Justin Bieber (28) and David Guetta (28) in hot pursuit.

Presley’s Top 10 tally includes the 16 re-issues of his former UK chart-toppers, all of which returned to the Top 5 between January and April 2005. The seventh of those re-issues, “Surrender”, debuted at No.2 on 26 February 2005 to become Elvis’ 67th UK Top 10 entry, thus surpassing Cliff’s then-record 66 Top 10 hits on the UK Official Singles Chart. As Elvis claimed the record, Madonna had amassed 56 Top 10 hits at that time, and remains in third place today.
