Bob Hope (USA) (b. UK, 29 May 1903 d. 27 July 2003) married the singer Dolores Reade (USA) (b. Dolores DeFina 27 May 1909) on 19 February 1934, the same year he began his film career. They were parted only by Hope's death after 69 years 158 days of marriage.
The couple met at the Vogue Club, New York in 1933. Hope walked in with his friend George Murphy to hear his future wife was singing 'It's Only A Paper Moon' and 'Did You Ever See A Dream Walking?' .
Joining her husband in his vaudeville act, she then gave up her career to have children. It wasn't until 1993 that she made her first recording with her debut album 'Now and Then' at the age of 84.
