Most valuable legs

Cyd Charisse (USA, b.1921) had an insurance policy accepted on her legs for $5 million outdoing Betty Grable (USA, 1916-73) who was known as 'The Girl with the Million Dollar Legs', when she insured hers for $1,250,000. 

Charisse suffered a broken leg dancing a staircase routine in 1948 in the film On An Island With You, and so had to drop out of Easter Parade at MGM with Fred Astaire (USA), to be replaced by Ann Miller (USA).
