The youngest goalscorer in a football (soccer) UEFA European Championship Final is Pietro Anastasi (Italy, b. 7 April 1948), who was 20 years 64 days when he scored against Yugoslavia on 10 June 1968 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy.
Anastasi struck in the replay of Italy’s final against Yugoslavia having made his international debut in the first tie, on 8 June, which ended in a 1–1 draw. Shortly after the final, Anastasi became the world’s most expensive player, transferring from Varese to Juventus for 660 million lire (£500,000).
