The most Tony Award acting category wins by a single production was achived by the original Broadway production of Rogers & Hammerstein musical South Pacific. At the 4th Tony Awards on 9 April 1950, the cast walked away with wins in four acting categories (all the categories for which the cast were eligable).
The awards were won by Mary Martin (Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical), Ezio Pinza (Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical), Juanita Hall (Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical) and Myron McCormick (Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical).
