The play that has earned its producers the most Tony Awards is Death of a Salesman (1949) by Arthur Miller. It won Best Play at the 1949 awards and Best Revival for productions in 1984, 1999 and 2012.

The original production won Best Play at the 3rd Tony Awards on 24 April 1949. In addition, Arthur Miller was awarded Best Author (Play), Elia Kazan won Best Director and actors Kermit Bloomgarden and Arthur Kennedy won for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a play and Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play respectively.

The play's first Broadway revival, in 1975, didn't win any Tony Awards, but the 1984 revival at the Broadhurst Theatre won the Tony Award for Best Revival on 3 June 1984. The third revival, at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre, won Best Revival of a Play on 6 June 1999, and the fourth, at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, did the same on 10 June 2012.

Including the various individual awards for the cast and crew, the five Broadway productions of Death of a Salesman have won a total of 13 Tony Awards.
