Two new award categories were introduced for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards in 2022: Best Global Music Performance and Best Música Urbana Album. Bad Bunny (Puerto Rico, b. Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) won the latter for his 2020 album EL ÚLTIMO TOUR DEL MUNDO (“The Last Tour of the World”), seeing off competition from Rauw Alejandro (Afrodisíaco), J Balvin (JOSE), Karol G (KG0516) and Kali Uchis (Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios)). It was Bad Bunny’s second prize at the Grammys, having won Best Latin Pop or Urban Album for YHLQMDLG at the previous year’s ceremony.
On 12 December 2020, EL ÚLTIMO TOUR DEL MUNDO became the first all-Spanish-language album to top the Billboard 200. It includes the singles “DÁKITI” (featuring Jhay Cortez), “YO VISTO ASÍ”, “BOOKER T” and “LA NOCHE DE ANOCHE” (featuring Rosalía). Every track on the album was co-written by Bad Bunny.
