The highest altitude fish ladder is 4,305.21 m (14,124 ft 8.46 in) and was achieved by Laluo Water Conservancy Project and Irrigation Area Administration Bureau of Tibet Autonomous Region (China), in Shigatse, Tibet Autonomous Region, China, on 28 February 2023.
To increase the awareness of the project and strengthen water ecological protection on the plateau, the administrative organization of the project would like to apply for a GWR title. The fish ladder is part of the Laluo Water Conservancy and supporting irrigation Area Project, which is located at the main stream of Chabqu, a tributary of the Yarlung Zangbo River.
