George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950), started as a dramatist at the age of 36 and thereafter wrote 57 plays. His last play, Buoyant Billions, was written in 1949 at the age of 93.  His plays are always in the London repertory and there is an annual festival devoted to him at Niagara on the Lake, Ontario.
