Largest commercial building

In terms of floor area, the world's largest commercial building under one roof is the flower-auction building Bloemenveiling Aalsmeer (VBA) in Aalsmeer, Netherlands. The floor surface of the building measures 782,599 m² (8.423 million ft²).

Area correct as at October 2002.  Recent enlargements to the facility have taken place on an adjacent site and are connected to the original building via a bridge, but cannot be considered to be part of the same building. These additions are predicted to take the total floor area of the facility to 1 million m² (10.7 million ft²) by the end of 2003.
