The oldest gold medallist at the Winter Olympics (female) is Anette Norberg (Sweden, b. 12 November 1966), who claimed the women’s curling title at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games aged 43 years 106 days in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on 26 February 2010.
Norberg is widely regarded as one of curling’s greatest-ever skips, claiming two Olympic and three World Championship gold medals. At Vancouver 2010, she led Sweden to victory over hosts Canada in the final to defend their Olympic title from 2006.
