Most RIAA Diamond singles for a female artist

On 13 December 2021, it was confirmed that “I Like It” had become the third track by Cardi B (USA, b. Belcalis Almánzar) to be certified Diamond/10x multi-platinum (10 million units sold) by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Previously, “Bodak Yellow” (8 March 2021) and her Maroon 5 collaboration “Girls Like You” (29 November 2021) had reached the milestone. Katy Perry (USA, b. Katheryn Hudson) is the only other female artist with as many as three Diamond awards, for “Dark Horse” (29 October 2015; 11x multi-platinum as of 12 December 2018), “Firework” (29 October 2015; 12x multi-platinum as of 20 August 2020) and “Roar” (22 June 2017).
Seventy-three singles had received RIAA Diamond awards as of 6 February 2022. Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” (feat. Billy Ray Cyrus) was ranked first, having been certified 15x multi-platinum (15 million units sold) on 17 September 2021, followed by three tracks that were 14x multi-platinum: “Somebody that I Used to Know” by Gotye, “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons and “Closer” by The Chainsmokers.
Among female artists, Lady Gaga trails Cardi B and Perry with two Diamond singles: “Bad Romance” (11x multi-platinum as of 29 May 2015) and “Poker Face” (10x multi-platinum as of 30 November 2015).
