The hardest “flash” ascent of a rock climbing route – meaning it was climbed successfully on the climber’s first attempt – happened on 10 February 2018, when Adam Ondra (Czech Republic) climbed the 5.15a-graded “Supercrackinette” in Saint Léger, France, on his first try. It is the only ever 5.15a flash ascent in history.
