Rafael Nadal (Spain) has won at least one title on the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) Tour for 19 consecutive years (2004-22). After extending his run of trophy-winning seasons by claiming the top prize at the Melbourne Summer Set 1 – held at Melbourne Park in Australia on 4-9 January 2022 – Nadal moved one title year ahead of both Roger Federer (2001-15, 2017-19) and Andre Agassi (1987-96, 1998-2005), whose tally of (non-consecutive) title-winning years stands at 18.
The Spaniard’s 89th ATP Tour title at the Melbourne Summer Set 1 on 9 January was soon followed by his 90th at the 2022 Australian Open on 30 January, which took his tally of Grand Slam singles titles to 21 – the most Grand Slam singles titles won (male). Since winning his first ATP Tour title in Sopot, Poland, in 2004 (his only success that year), Nadal has pocketed at least two ATP titles every year for 18 years in a row (2005-22), with his most successful seasons coming in 2005 (11 titles) and 2013 (10).
