The coal power-plant No. 2 stack at Ekibastuz, Kazakhstan, completed in 1987, is 420 m (1,378 ft) tall. The diameter tapers from 44 m (144 ft) at the base to 14.2 m (46 ft 7 in) at the top, and it weighs 60,000 tonnes.
