Youngest person to achieve a quadruple somersault

Michael Martini (Italy, b. 17 November 1999), of the Martini circus family, achieved a quadruple somersault aged 13 years 196 days, during the rehearsals at Circo Orfei, in Massafra, near Taranto, Italy, on 1 June 2013. Michael is trained by René Rodogell (Mexico, b. 10 April 1958), a member of the Flying Rodogells, a well-known Mexican family of flyers and acrobats. Michael’s sister Angela (Italy, b. 2 October 1998) performed her first triple somersault aged 13. Michael and Angela are part of the flying trapeze troupe “The Flying Martini”. Michael and Angela’s parents are Daris (aka Darix) Martini and Sabrina Dell’Acqua, both circus artists.
