Largest cheese (cow's milk)

Agropur made a cheddar weighing 26.09 tonnes (57,518.53 lb) for Loblaws Supermarkets Ltd at Granby, Quebec, Canada on 7 September 1995. After it had been made the cheese was taken on tour in a specially designed, refrigerated lorry. The cheese stood at 6 ft (1.83 m) high and stretched to over 32 ft (10 m) long and 4.5 ft (1.4 m) wide. It took over 10 hours to make and required some 540,000 lbs (245,000kg) of milk which is the equivalent of 5,000 cows working non-stop for one day to produce.
