Country superstar Morgan Wallen (USA) generated no less than 27 new entries (plus three re-entries) on the US Billboard Hot 100 on 18 March 2023 – the same date that his hit-packed third studio album, One Thing at a Time, crashed on to the Billboard 200 at No.1. “Thinkin’ Bout Me” (No.9) was Wallen’s highest Hot 100 debut on 18 March.
Three previously released tracks from the album were ranked even higher: “Last Night” (No.1 for the first of its 14 non-consecutive weeks, as of 29 July 2023), “Thought You Should Know” (No.7) and “You Proof” (No.8). Incredibly, all 36 tracks from One Thing at a Time were present on the Hot 100 on 18 March, enabling Wallen to obliterate Taylor Swift’s previous record of 26 – tracks from her Red (Taylor’s Version) album – on 27 November 2021.
