The most World Rally Championship race wins by a female driver is 4, achieved by Michèle Mouton (France) between 10 October 1981 and 14 August 1982.
Mouton took her maiden victory at the 1981 Rallye Sanremo in an Audi Quattro and added the Rallye de Portugal, Acropolis Rally and the Rallye do Brasil in 1982. The trailblazing driver remains the only woman to date to have won a World Rally Championship race. She finished second in the 1982 World Rally Championship behind Walter Röhrl. In 1985, Mouton became the first and only woman to win the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, in a then-record time of 11 minutes 25.39 seconds.
