The oldest kickboxer to make a professional debut (male) is Tetsuo Nakamura (Japan, b. 5 January 1965), who was 55 years 266 days old when he fought Naoto Hirata at pro event TITANS NEOS27 in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan on 27 September 2020.
Tetsuo started kickboxing only when he was in his fifties and became a professional within two years. He is still an active kickboxer and competes today. Unfortunately for Tetsuo, his pro debut ended in a Round One defeat, following a right hook from opponent Naoto Hirata after 55 seconds.
