An ice palace completed in January 1992, used 18,000 blocks of ice, at St Paul, Minnesota, USA during the Winter Carnival. Built by TMK Construction Specialties Inc., it was 50.8 m. (166 ft. 8 in.) high and contained 4,900 tonnes (10.8 million lb.) of ice.
