The highest regularly performed head-first dives are from a height of 35 metres (115 feet) by professional divers from La Quebrada in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico since 1934), as they never stopped since 1934.

The base rocks, 6.4 m 21 ft out from the take-off, necessitate a leap of 8.22 m 27 ft out. The water is 3.65 m 12 ft deep. La Quebrada means (the break in the rocks). The Asociación de Clavadistas Profesionales de La Quebrada was formed in 1934.
