The worlds tallest recorded true (non-pathological) giant was Angus Macaskill (UK) (1823–63), born on the island of Berneray in the Sound of Harris, Western Isles. He stood 2.36 m (7 ft 9 in) and died in St Anns, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.
