Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities, a rip-roaring adventure set in the turbulent years surrounding the French Revolution, is believed to have sold in excess of 200 million copies. The book was originally published in the journal All the Year Round in weekly instalments commencing April 1859 and ending in November of that year.
