The team who attempted this record are all affiliated with a school and training facility called Ski & Snowboard Xperience (S²X), where the indoor snowboarding took place. The school has four indoor rolling slopes, one of which was used for this record, another for a a similar record attempt (skiing), and the final two slopes were used for the general public to come watch, ski, snowboard, and donate. If a donation was made to one of the school's affiliated charities, people could ski or snowboard on one of the slopes while watching the attempt take place. The snowboard team of four took turns on the slope, flying down at an average speed of 21.2 km/hr. The fundraiser and attempt lasted 24 hours.
