The Seiko TV-Wrist Watch, launched on 23 Dec 1982 in Japan, has a black and white screen measuring 30.5mm 11/4in wide. Together with the receiver unit and headphones, the entire black and white system, costing 108,000 yen, weighs only 320g 11.3oz.
The smallest single-piece set is the Casio-Keisanki TV-10, weighing 338g 11.9oz with a screen 6.85cm 211/16 in wide. It was launched in Tokyo in July 1983.
The smallest and lightest colour set, measuring 60´24´91mm 2.4´0.9´3.6in and weighing 168.5g 6oz with battery, is the Casio CV-1, launched by the Casio Computer Co. Ltd of Japan in July 1992. It has a screen size of 35mm 1 3/8 in and retails in Japan for 40,000 yen (about £200).
