The largest washing machine pyramid is 1,496 and was achieved by Currys and Ainscough Training Services Ltd (Both UK), in Bury, Lancashire, UK, on 24 September 2021.
It was a square-based pyramid with sides measuring 9.64 m (31 ft 7.5 in). The first layer had 16 X 16 washing machines and built with each layer consisting of one less on each side until a single one at the tip of the pyramid. The pyramid height was 13.60 m (44 ft 7 in). There were no wires or supporting structures to keep the pyramid intact. The attempt was made as part of National Recycling Week.
