In 2013 he completed 50 years as professional setter, with puzzles appearing in the UK's Daily Telegraph, Guardian, Financial Times, The Times and Independent, among others. Roger began compiling crosswords in 1963, after leaving the Fleet Air Arm. At the age of 76 he still works for about six hours a day. He also holds records for the Longest Crossword and The Longest Word ever included in a Published Crossword, viz: "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch" clued as an anagram. Roger''s crosswords have appeared in over 592 outlets, including 115 publications in 32 different countries.
