The earliest TV transmission across the Atlantic occurred on 9 February 1928, when John Logie Baird (UK) sent 30-line images from Motograph House, London, UK by land-line to the transmitting station 2KZ in Coulsdon, Surrey, UK and then across the Atlantic to Station 2 CVJ, Hartsdale, New York, USA

The images were of the faces of Baird, a reporter and of a Miss Howe (UK).
