Largest return of cash

In May 1994 Howard Jenkins of Tampa, Florida, USA, a 31-year-old roofing company employee, discovered that $88 million (£62 million) had been transferred mistakenly into his bank account. Although he initially withdrew $4 million (£2.8 million), his conscience got the better of him shortly afterwards and he returned the $88 million in full.
