According to Forbes, J.K. Rowling (UK), author of the Harry Potter series, has grossed over $1 billion (?627 million) for her novels and from related earnings. Rowling is one of only five self-made female billionaires, and the first billion-dollar author. The five Potter books have sold 250 million copies around the world and are published in 55 languages, including Latin and Ancient Greek.
