The youngest person to climb the higher 8,000ers (female) is Adriana Brownlee (UK, b. 8 Jan 2001), who was aged 21 years 202 days when she completed her climb of K2 on 28 July 2022.
Brownlee conquered the world's five highest peaks by climbing Everest on 31 May 2021, Kangchenjunga on 17 May 2022, Lhotse on 22 May 2022, Makalu on 28 May 2022 and finally K2 on 28 July 2022. Her long-term goal is to become the youngest mountaineer – male or female – to summit all 14 of the 8,000ers.
