The first women to climb Cho Oyo (8,188 m; 26,863 ft) in the Mahālangūr Himāl are Věra Komárková (USA, b. Bohemia and Moravia, now Czechia) and Dina Štěrbová (Czechia, b. Margita Schochmanová in Slovakia), who reached the top on 13 May 1984.

The pair climbed with the support of Sherpas and using supplementary oxygen.
