The youngest person to go to space is Oliver Daemen (NLD). He was 18 years and 334 days old when he made a suborbital spaceflight on the Blue Origin NS-16 mission, which took off from near Van Horn, Texas, USA, on July 20, 2021.

Daemen has been interested in aviation and spaceflight since he was very young. He plans to attend the University of Utrecht to study physics and innovation, having taken a gap year to obtain his pilot's license.

Oliver Daemen's father, Dutch hedge-fund millionaire Joes Daemen, was one of the people who bid for the fourth seat on the New Shepard “First Human Flight” or NS-16 mission. When the winning bidder backed out due to a scheduling conflict, Daemen took the auction winner’s place.
