The youngest ten-pin bowler to achieve a 7–10 split in a televised professional match is Anthony Neuer (USA, b. 26 April 2002), aged 18 years 350 days at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nevada, USA, on 11 April 2021.
Neuer achieved his feat during his PBA US Open semi-final against Jakob Butturff, which Neuer lost 257–203. The 18-year-old, nicknamed the “Ginger Assassin”, is only the fourth ten-pin bowler to achieve the notorious split – knocking down the leftmost (7) and rightmost (10) pins in the back row – during a televised match. It was first achieved by Mark Roth at the ARC Alameda Open on 5 January 1980, and matched by John Mazza and Jess Stayrook, both in 1991.
