The fastest time to swim the length of the Aqaba Gulf is 8 hours 30 minutes and 42 seconds and was achieved by Hassan Baraka (Morocco), in Dahab (Egypt) to Macna (Saudi Arabia), on 21 October 2014
After swimming between Europe-Africa, Asia-Europe, Asia-America and Oceania-Asia, the last challenge was to link Africa to Asia which is why Hassan chose to swim across the Gulf of Aqaba between the city of Dahab -Egypt and Magna Saudi Arabia.
