The highest number of U-boat kills attributed to one ship in World War II was 15, achieved by HMS Starling (Captain Frederic John Walker DSO***, RN, CB). Ships under Captain Walker's command sank a total of 20 U-boats between 1941 and the time of his death on 9 July 1944.
