Concentrated Solar Power technology (CSP) using Molten Salt as a medium for energy storage can generate an ample supply of electricity around the clock. With excellent energy storage capabilities, the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Emissions Strategy 2050 aim to provide 100% of the energy production capacity from clean energy sources by 2050. DEWA works to develop energy storage technologies through pioneering projects, such as the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which has the largest thermal storage capacity in the world, allowing for energy availability around the clock, solidifying Dubai’s position as the global centre for clean energy and a green economy. DEWA received the lowest global solar energy prices five consecutive times, making Dubai a global benchmark for solar energy prices.
