Claressa Shields (USA) became the undisputed women’s middleweight and light-middleweight champion on 5 March 2021, when she earned a unanimous point victory over Marie-Eve Dicaire to add the IBF and vacant WBA light-middleweight belts to her WBC and WBO titles at that weight. Shields was already a four-belt champion at middleweight, having united the belts with her win over Christina Hammer on 13 April 2019. Her bout against DiCaire was only Shields’s 11th professional fight.
